When purchasing a home, it is often customary for the Real Estate agent to negotiate a price for a home that best suits your financial needs. This procedure can be very confusing. I was hoping someone here can explain why is it necessagry to negotiate a price? Will this hurt my chances of purchasing a home?

Price negotiation is part of the process of purchasing a home. Many home owners who put their house on the market realize they will most likely find a buyer who will haggle with the price. However, if the market is ripe and their are several people interested in your home, you can have a bidding war that is in your favor.

If you do submit a bid that the homeowner disapproves, you can resubmit another bid. Just remember to have a home inspection before making a final commitment.
