I am in the market for a house. One of my main concerns is finding a house that I can afford. I currently make about $50,000 a year. I am single with no dependents. I have two credit cards that both total about $7,000 in debt. I am proud to say that my credit card debt has gone down significantly and I hope to be out of debt in 3 years or sooner.

I also have a student loan and pay about $300 per month. I have no car payments or anything else, just the regular utility bills. So based on this information, how much of a house can I afford? Any suggestions?
