Asbestos is dangerous because it can cause Mesothelioma which is a cancer that doesn’t have a cure. If your home has Asbestos you definitely need to get that professionally cleaned.

I don’t think anyone uses asbestos anymore! Certainly not in the UK. Cheaper or not, asbestos is very dangerous. If you do find some, its safe to touch, but be very careful not to disturb it too much as this releases the fibres into the air, which is when they can be inhaled and cause permanent damage.

We get all homes inspected before we demolish them for asbestos also. If it is found, it is removed by liscensed professionals. They than dispose of it in a regulated manner.

Better safe than never. Today there are many alternatives for asbestos, no health hazards and it is eco-friendly.
